What is Connected Textile Management

Connected Textile Management is the LossLess approach to managing hotel textiles as one connected operating system. It joins individual textile identity, operational evidence and shared accountability so people can make better decisions about availability, circulation, loss, replenishment and useful life.

One textile system

A textile moves through guestrooms, housekeeping, pantries, collection, transport, laundry processing and clean return. Procurement, Finance and Sustainability also depend on what happens along that journey. Connected Textile Management connects those views instead of stopping the information at each departmental or organisational handoff.

The objective is the right textile, in the right place, at the right time, using the least resources reasonably necessary. It applies to hotel-owned, rented and hybrid linen. Ownership changes the economics and the party that can realise a benefit; it does not remove the hotel's dependence on textile availability.

From identity to decisions

RFID supplies a machine-readable identity and observations at operational checkpoints. Those observations become useful when they are reconciled and read alongside demand, stock, laundry turnaround, losses and the decisions people need to make.

The framework moves from visibility to understanding, prediction and action. Identity, observation, intelligence, orchestration and lifecycle information are connected by clear ownership, rules and accountability. A count is a starting point. Understanding whether the available stock can support the operation is the management question.

Where Fides fits

LossLess Group develops Fides, the platform that puts this approach into practice. Fides connects RFID textile records with reports about inventory, laundry service, stock health, usage and replenishment. Connected Textile Management is the broader management discipline; Fides is the software platform supporting it.

Implementation begins with an agreed operating scope and baseline. Hotels and laundries define critical handoffs, responsibilities and the evidence needed to improve decisions, then build the scanning and management routines around that purpose.
